Bring a soil report and a clear crop history to the input-selection conversation.
Start with the field, not a shopping list
For a paddy, chilli, cotton or maize field in Andhra Pradesh or Telangana, record the crop, area, sowing date, irrigation source and recent inputs before seeking advice. Yellow leaves alone do not identify a particular nutrient shortage.
Arrange a representative soil test
Ask your local agriculture office, KVK or soil laboratory about sampling and labelling. Follow that laboratory's collection instructions. Keep the sample identity and report together so results can be connected to the correct field.
Read the recommendation with an adviser
A Soil Health Card describes soil nutrient status and supports crop-specific input recommendations. Discuss pH, electrical conductivity, organic carbon and reported nutrient levels with an agricultural adviser. Confirm the units and the crop to which the recommendation applies.
Compare products after the recommendation
- Bring the report and crop details when asking about a product.
- Check the label, intended use, pack size, storage and application instructions.
- Ask how a proposed input fits the existing fertiliser plan.
- Keep purchase and application records for the next review.
MENNENI can provide catalogue and pack information. A purchase does not replace a field-specific recommendation.
